Just had a fab stay at Meadowdore! The breakfasts were amazing, made with fresh local produce. Our room was super cozy and spotless. Frances really knows how to make you feel at home. lovely personal touches everywhere. Might've liked a bit of milk in the fridge for tea.

What a delightful stay! The Two-Bedroom Suite was spotless and perfect for our family, with a beautiful bathroom and cozy furnishings. Frances, the host, was welcoming and provided excellent breakfast options, including a sumptuous full English. The location is prime, just steps from local shops and the scenic Coniston Water.

It was spotless, with a mini fridge stocked with bottled water. Frances ensured everything was perfect, from the quality of the bedding to the provision of fresh milk for tea. A little extra milk in the fridge for my arrival would have been nice, but that’s a minor detail considering the overall comfort. The central location was convenient for exploring the area, with lovely garden furniture outside to relax in when the sun was shining.

Parking is a bit of a scramble. we arrived late and had to find a spot down the road. The shower head was too heavy and wouldn’t stay in place, which made showering a hassle. A little milk in the fridge upon arrival would have been appreciated, but we got it after meeting the host. don't forget about moving your car promptly, or you might end your stay on a deflated note.

Just a top selection for a city escape in Coniston with decent value for money. The room offered a lovely view of the surrounding mountains, making mornings fantastic. Be sure to book dining spots ahead of time, as many local places can fill up fast.
